تميز القرن السابع عشر برفض روح النهضة. The art of Biography was unknown during the 16th century. فن السيرة الذاتية غير معروف خلال القرن السادس عشر. The literature of the Seventeenth century may be divided into 2 periods يمكن تقسيم أدب القرن السابع عشر إلى فترتين The Seventeenth century spirit may be defined as the spirit of Observing the details. يمكن تعريف روح القرن السابع عشر بأنها روح مراقبة التفاصيل. After Shakespeare the drama in England suffered a decline during the reigns of (James)I and (Charles) II بعد شكسبير عانت الدراما في إنجلترا من هبوط خلال فترات حكم (جيمس) الأول و (تشارلز) الثاني Milton's Early poetry is lyrical الشعر المبكر لميلتون غنائي One of these is not Milton's poem. - D.
