السلام عليكم ورحمة الله

الاولى Getting Meaning From Context" means We don't want to look up the meanings of the new words in the dictionary . It aims to guss new words in three ways :Punctuation ,(surrounding words and logic.Example :at least in primary school( elementary school). Main idea means : a sentence or two words can be found at the begining, middle, or end of paragraph. skimming means: to read quickly not every words The main idea:a sentence or two can Ajadha at the beginning or the middle or the end of the paragraph or the piece and they traditionally are in the beginning. e.g. The life of a doctor is not easy. Martin works a very long day, and he is very busy with a variety of activities. He spends a lot of time with people, but he also spends a lot of time working on reports in his office. If you said that the life of a doctor is not easy, you are correct. الثانيه Understanding contrast: Contrast words can be used to explain one another,e.g. There are many more schools in cities than in rural areas. About italics we used the Italic style with two cases. First case to emphasis at special word during the read the gridlock is very huge problem in cities . Second case if there is a Foreign word in an English sentence about supporting details we can support out information with ideas/examples/facts such as I want to study English because i like it and it is an international language scanning we read with fast and best way to know special information like names/dates/numbers الثالثه The main idea is that life on campus has changed because the students changed themselves. الرابعه 1- nouns : Tom, England, table, bird, country, problems, cities, bottles etc . 2- verbs : sleep, write, go, read , find,work, decided, gives etc . 3- adjective : beautiful, creative, difficult, worse , cleaner etc. 4- adverbs : safely, beautifully, creatively, differently etc. الخامسه Punctuation marks • Full-color pictures are printed using only black and three colors: yellow, cyan (a light blue) and magenta (a light purple). an unfamiliar word = cyan and magenta Restatement The surface of Africa consists mainly of plateaus, or large flat areas, although these occur at different levels. an unfamiliar السادسه 1- un = not : unkind. un = reversal or cancellation of action or state : unplug, unmask . 2- dis = negative, removal, expulsion : disadvantage, dismount, disbud,disbar. 3- re = again : repaint, reappraise, reawake . 4- de = down, away : depend. de = removal, reversal : decamp. 5- pre = before in time, place, order importance. pre-adolescent, prelude, precondition . السابعه -al, ial = has property of : personal -ed= past verb : turned -en = made of : golden -able, ible = can be done : doable -er = comparative : higher الثامنه Cause= is the reason Effect= is the result .He was very sick. Salim didn’t come to university Effect Cause : We join cause and effect in order to make one sentence by:- Because, as , since _____ cause or reason As a result, there fore , consequently, so_______ effect or result - Salim didn’t come because/as/since he was very sick - Because/Since/As Salim was sick, he didn’t come. - Salim was very sick. Therefore/ So/ As a result/ Consequently, he didn’t come. Cause:the reason Effect:the result E.g. he had astoachache;because, he ate too much She is very clever;therefore,she got high marks Since Iforgot my keys,Ican,ot enter to my home. التاسعه 1. An article { a – an – the } 2. A noun ( singular/ plural = { subject noun / object noun } 3. A pronoun { I , he, She, their, us, me……. etc } 4. An adjective { easy, hot, important, high, ------ smaller, best ……etc } 5. An adverb { quickly, easily, fast, fluently, well …… …..etc } 6. An auxiliary { verbs to Be, verbs to Have, Modals } 7. A preposition { on, in, at, by, with, for ………………….etc 8 . A main verb { present, past, future, } العاشره The first part yes i enjoy with this part the topic the main idea is in a sentence or tow and can be found at the beginning , middle, or end of a paragraph .Each paragraph has a mine idea الحاديه عشر countables are those which we can count like boy , man , plane uncountables like suger and rice and coffee الثانيه عشر Little: It means hardly any. Therefore it has negative meaning. For example: There is little hope of our team's victory now . A little: It means some enough though not much. Therefore it has positive meaning. For example: A little planning could have saved the situation .Few: It means not many, hardly any. So, therefore it has negative meaning . For example: Few people speak the truth today. A Few: It means 'some' as opposed to 'none'. Therefore it has positive meaning . For Example: A few children can speak English correctly in our society.We use A or AN with singular nouns. A is used when a noun starts with a consonant sound ; e.g. a dog, a book. AN is used when a noun starts with a vowel sound; e.g. an apple, an hour . We use SOME with countable nouns (only with their plural) and with uncountable nouns. SOME is used in: positive sentences; e.g. I have got some time. Questions, expressing requests and offers ; e.g. Would you like some tea? Can I have some biscuits? We use ANY with countable nouns (only with their plural) and with uncountable nouns. ANY is used in: negative sentences; e.g. I haven‘t got any time. general questions e.g. Have you got any sisters? Is there any tea left الثالثه عشر One-syllable adjectives. Form the comparative and superlative forms of a one-syllable adjective by adding –er for the comparative form and –est for the superlative. One-Syllable Adjective Comparative Form Superlative Form tall taller tallest old older oldest long longer longest Mary is taller than Max. Mary is the tallest of all the students. Max is older than John. Of the three students, Max is the oldest. My hair is longer than your hair. Max's story is the longest story I've ever heard.
