المناقشة 1 :21: 1) When are reductions used in English? Is the same true for your language? reductions used in English speaking but there is no such a thing in Arbic language المناقشة 2 :21: 2) "Elision" occurs when the same or similar sounds come into contact in speech, e.g., " a bad time". In this example, the sounds b & d elide to a single sound. Can you think of other examples using other sounds? How about in your language? e.g :friend in need is a friend in deed when we say friend in deed that's sounds a little bit elide in arabic language we have like 5 alphabets sounds elide make the word a little bit heavy to pronounce it المناقشة 3 :21: 3) Words such as 'slob' and 'bug' are marked in your book as "slang". What does this indicate?
