Do you think there is an error in the answers in Composition II exercise 2?
السلام عليكم،
In the exercise 2, page 13, I think some of the answers the lecturer gave. I noticed the second point of the exercise which says: 2. Jake has made a lot of progress ________________ French this year because he attended every class. the lecturer said the answer should be 'with' but i think it should be 'in' because in the expressions above the questions there is one says: make [a lot of/a little] progress in and I think this is the correct answer. While the prepositon 'with' used with the expression: have success with. Also, the point 3 of the same exercise it says: 3. If you want to succeed ______________ speaking a foreign language, you must practice, practice, practice! the lecturer used 'in' while i think it should be 'at' because in the expressions there is one says: succeed at So, what do you think? |
