mmmm frankly i don't like to use such things ,,, and i ll tell you why,,,
We arab have some common words or expressions that we usually hate ... and when we encounter such stuff in english learning,we usually try to avoid them ...

For example most of native speakers say to their friends (dog) like they are calling them instead of the name, and you surely know that it's impossible to use this one in our society. So as in your expression ( put yourself in my shoes ) if you typically transform it in our language it woud be really shamed.Anyway im just saying that we can such alternative words that we won't face issues with them .

THx alot anyway and you luck all time

It shocked me when I heard it 4 first time

I like to use the idioms with the native only

coz when English speaker talks and says ,, (say anyshit) to Arabian speaker

it will annoy him and cause misunderstood

thank you bro ,, and be careful when u use like these words:cheese:

Do you know what i like the most about you friends, ( expatriate and Jamilah).

most of people when they learn english they forget everything related to their culture, anything said or will be said by english native speakers, people who learn english will say and use the same as native speakers and ignoring their own cultures and happets

so again what i like and notice from you friends, that you still respecting your own cultures

I have noticed those expressions with my friends and i kept telling them about what i said above, but they ignored me,

the moral is,

take what you need and leave what you don't need which is not aligning with your cultures

regards,
