i think the most important is hypercalcemia and calcification of the renal tubules

the defferince between them is in the half life
atorvastatin has longer half life which means longer duration of action

I think that the hint got me confued

I thought about the side effects

I want to point out somthing here.
If the difference in the half life, the drug,with short half life, should
be taken more often than the drug with long half life

not " when" it should be taken

but regardless the frequency of the dose
there is something special in hyperlipidemia
if u see the biosynthesis process of cholesterol
u will find that the production of cholesterol is increased at night
and for that reason we give simvastatin at bed time or after dinner
because it has short half life and we want to maximize the therapeutic effect
any way this is not our question
