In French , it means ‘traduction’ as a noun and كاسم

ترجمة: هو أي عملية )ترجمة، ونشاط بدلا من كائن ملموس (

A Translation: is the product of the process of translating (i.e. the translated text)

 ترجمة: هي نتاج عملية ترجمة ) مثل النص المترجم(

All communicators are translators, because they receive signals in speech and in writing containing messages encoded in a communication system which is not identical with their own



يعتبر كل المتواصلين ) تحدثا وكتابة ومشاهدة ( مترجمين . لأنهم يستقبلون إشارات سواء
لفظية أو مكتوبة تحتوي على رسائل رمزية من نظام اتصال ما مختلف عن نظامهم
الخاص بهم .

All communicators tend to face the same problems as those of translators, because they need to read the text, make sense of a text. They need to deconstruct it and then reconstruct it

جميع المتواصلين تواجههم نفس مشكلات المترجمين ..لأنهم يحتاجون لقراءة النص وفهم
معاني النص وإنشاء معاني كذلك.. بعبارات أخرى ..يقومون بتفكيك النص ومن ثم إعادة تركيبة

كما يمليه عليهم تفهمهم للنص..

What is the difference between a normal communicator and a Translator?

normal communicator :

When taking a turn as a sender, the monolingual is obliged to:

عندما تتحدث إلى شخص من نفس اللغة

a) Encode into the language used by the sender.

يجب أن ترد بنفس اللغة التي تحدث بها معك المرسل

b) Encode messages which are different from those received.

إنشاء رسائل مختلفة عما تم استقباله من

المرسل سابقا..

c) And transmit them to the previous sender.

The Translator's acts contrast on that:

a) The encoding consists of re-encoding into a different language.

b) Concerns the same message as was received.

How important are memory, meaning and language to the Translator? ما مدى أهمية الذاكرة ,المعنى واللغة للمترجم ؟

Like other communicators, translators need excellent memory to enable them ؟؟

use the semantic knowledge, syntactic knowledge and rhetorical knowledge of two different languages and two different cultures.



كغيرهم من المتواصلين ..يحتاج المترجمين لذاكرة ممتازة تمكنهم من استخدام المعرفة

بعلم المعاني و بناء الجملة النحوية والبلاغة للغتين مختلفتين وثقافتين مختلفتين.

What does the translator’s communicative competence consist of :

 م م تتكون تخصصات التواصل لدى المترجم :

The translator communicative competences consists of the following components:

 كفاءات المترجم التواصلية تتكون من العناصر التالية:

•Grammatical competence: knowledge of the rules of the code, including vocabulary and word formation, pronunciation/spelling and sentence structure.
•تخصص النحو والقواعد : أي المعرفة
بقوانين اللغة ..بما فيها المفردات و تركيب
الكلمات اللفظ و الهجاء و بناء الجمل

•

Sociolinguistic Competence: knowledge of and ability to produce and understand utterances appropriately in context, i.e. as constrained by topic, the status of the participant, purpose of the interaction, etc.

•

التخصص الاجتماعي اللغوي : المعرفة
والقدرة على إنتاج وفهم الكلام بشكل مناسب في
السياق، أي قيود، حسب الموضوع، ووضع

المشاركين، والغرض من التفاعل، الخ

•Discourse competence: The ability to combine form and meaning to achieve unified spoken or written texts in different genres.
 تخصص الخطاب : القدرة على الجمع بين الشكل والمعنى لتحقيق النصوص المنطوقة أو
المكتوبة موحدة في أنواع مختلفة ..
 This unity depends on cohesion in form (i.e. the way in which utterances are linked structurally to facilitate interpretation of text) and coherence in meaning (i.e. the relationships among the different meanings in a text, literal meaning, communicative function or social meaning)
 هذه الوحدة تعتمد على مدى تماسك البناء ..مثلا .. طريقة ترابط الكلام و هيكلته في سبيل
تيسير فهم النص .. والتماسك في المعنى .. أي مدى ترابط معاني النص مع بعضها مع
المعنى العام .. وهي جميع الجمل متناسقة مع بعضها وهكذا

Strategic competence: the mastery of communication strategies which may be used to improve communication or to compensate for breakdowns in actual communication.

اختصاص الاستراتيجية: التمكن من استراتيجيات الاتصال التي يمكن استخدامها لتحسين

The Meaning of the Term ‘Theory’ معنى مصطلح النظرية

هذي مهمه وجات العام الماضي واحتمال راح تجي لنا

The English word theory was derived from a technical term in Ancient Greek philosophy.

تم اشتقاق نظرية الكلمة الإنكليزية من مصطلح فني في الفلسفة

الاغريقية القديمة .

وهذي كمان مهمه وجات العام الماضي

In modern science the term "theory", or "scientific theory" is generally understood to refer to a proposed
‘explanation’ of empirical phenomena’, made in a way consistent with scientific method.



"النظرية" أو "النظرية العلمية" للإشارة إلى "التفسير" المقترح

The Definition of a Theory. تعريف النظريه

A theory is an explanation of a phenomenon, the perception of system and order in something observed.

النظرية هو تفسير لظاهرة،


It exists in the mind.


موجودا في العقل.


It has no tangible manifestation.


ليس لديها أي تعبير ملموس.


It is an idea which constitutes the internal representation of phenomena.

 هي الفكرة التي تشكل التمثيل الداخلي للظواهر.
