( I have never seen a word with double ii)

if the word contains the letter I and ends with E

you pronounce it as it is >> e.g: pile

but if it doesn't end with an E you pronounce it like E but deeper>>e.g: still

there is a slight difference between I and E

An amarican English teacher have told us that this is one of the most common mistakes foreigners make. Even some of them live in Amarica for many years but still has the same problem.

For us I think the reason is that we don't have the same rule in Arabic, it's different
