There is a garden in her face An analysis of the poem “There Is a Garden in Her Face” by Thomas Campion In the poem “There Is a Garden in Her Face” by Thomas Campion he is describing how beautiful this woman is. Campion uses similes, metaphors, and imagery throughout the poem to describe the beauty that is in this wonderful woman. This woman is so beautiful that it almost seems impossible that she is a real person and that this is only a dream. With the use of metaphors the speaker describes how beautiful this woman really is. In the first line “There is a garden in her face” the woman doesn’t literally have a garden in her face, she is just so beautiful like a garden. The speaker also describes “where rose and white lilies grow” which is meant to mean her chee She is a gift from the heavens and all men desire to have her as his own, but none can. The speaker uses the poetical device simile to describe the physical expressions the woman has of her beauty. The last line of each stanza refers to the line "Till "Cherry-ripe!" themselves do cry," this sound is coming from all the men that have tried to get this woman"tms attention and have failed because she is not ready for these men, due to her young age. She has a wonderful smile by the way "they look like rosebuds filled with snow" her teeth are beautifully white and her lips are nice and red. To have a woman so pure it would appear that she is an angel instead of a real woman. In describing the woman"tms face the speaker describes it as "a heavenly paradise is that place" he is referring to the woman as so beautiful that she is descent from heaven with the angels. The speaker uses various poetical devices of imagery to show the woman"tms beauty, through visual and sound. This woman is obviously unattainable by any man, because she is so stunning. For instance "her eyes like angels watch them still" is that she has very pure eyes as she watched over the men that try to win her love. "Her brows like bended bows do stand" as she awaits the man of her dreams to sweep her off her feet. Through the use of similes, metaphors and imagery we can conclude that not only is this woman beautiful, but she is very unattainable by any man. The speaker really makes the readers feel as is this woman is not really a woman at all, but that she is found in dreams, and not in reality. Also with describing the woman"tms beauty the speaker uses "of orient pearl a double row" which is talking about the woman"tms beautiful white teeth. |

يسعد مسآكم .. وموفقيين ياارب ويارب يفتحها علينا بكره زي النقد اليوم وتاريخ الادب عند بعض ناس :(269)::lllolll: ما تقصد LMo0o آبد :love080::love080: بناات سلوى فيه قطع صغيره كنا نكتبها معها في المحاضرات قبل الخمس القطع الاخيره في مضطلحات كثيره المهم الاولى من عربي الى انجلش بدايتها ( شهدت بعض البلدان تطورات ايجابيه ... في بلدان كثيره) ابي ترجمتها لو سمحتووو والقطعه الثانيه كانت من انجلش الى عربي بدايتها ( The press exclusively ... ability could do ) ابي ترجمتهاا بعد الله يسهل ويوفق اللي بتساعدني عليهم وتحطهم ومرره شكرا مقدما :106::106: ملاحظة: كوثر الله يجزاك خير يارب ع القطعتين لاني ما حضرت اخر محاضره :wink::wink: |
